Catalyst for Calm

About

I’m a keynote speaker, sound therapist, strategic psychotherapist, clinical hypnotherapist, exercise sports scientist, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu brown belt, and corporate consultant. I help leaders and teams build calm strength — staying composed, confident, and high-performing under pressure — through sound, somatics, martial arts principles, and evidence-backed strategies.

Having spent nearly a decade in the corporate world within the WorkCover system — first as an Injury Management Advisor, then as a Senior Rehabilitation Consultant — I saw firsthand that most interventions started after people were already physically or psychologically injured. It became clear: we needed a shift from reaction to prevention.

Today, I work with leaders and teams to tackle challenges with clarity, calm, and confidence — before stress turns into burnout or injury. As I like to say, “Prevention is better than cure,” and I believe the most powerful prevention strategy begins with stillness. In fact, I personally believe stillness is the new hustle.

Imagine a world where stillness was a natural part of our day — think how much more we could perform, connect, and thrive under pressure. Science confirms that our ability to lead effectively depends not on how much we do, but on how well we can self-regulate and return to calm. Stillness is the foundation of clarity, creativity, and resilience.

With 10+ years training on the martial arts mats as a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu brown belt, I bring martial arts principles into the workplace. The lessons learned on the mats — patience, strategy, presence, and resilience — translate directly to peak performance in professional life. My mission is to help people tap into their inner strength and perform at their absolute best.

Alongside coaching and consulting, I speak at conferences and corporate events on topics such as:

  • Resilience Starts in the Body – tools for nervous system regulation in high-stress environments

  • The Calm Within Chaos – practical strategies for stress recovery and emotional balance

  • Sound, Science & Stillness – exploring how sound frequencies and breathwork support well-being

  • Leading with Presence – embodying calm leadership in times of uncertainty

  • Less Hustle, More Heart – redefining success through mindfulness and embodied awareness

Sheb's Story

Sheb Giner, from the Gold Coast, Australia, transformed from a martial artist to a mentor. Her journey began on the mat, grappling with headlocks and arm-bars. But she learned more than self-defence; she discovered resilience and mental strength.

With a background in exercise sport science and psychotherapy, Sheb uniquely blended physical training with mindfulness. She started coaching, especially with people working in high-pressure environments such as law firms and finance, teaching how to find strength and self empowerment in amidst the chaos.

Sheb became a keynote speaker, sharing her "Mat to Mastery" program. Her message is clear: find resilience in chaos, build confidence and strength from within. Sheb guided many, showing how to balance strength when grappling with a busy mind, leading them towards better performance and well-being.

A message from Sheb

The call to focus on holistic well-being today is about recognising how it impacts not only our professional lives but our personal lives too.  By adopting a heart-centered approach, integrating sound healing, meditation, movement-based stress relief, and personalised well-being strategies, individuals cultivate resilience, reduce burnout and enhance performance. Using creative, enjoyable practices, individuals can handle challenges better and are more likely to succeed in the ever changing work environment toward long-term durable resilience and inner strength.
